We attended the Ringling Medieval Faire at the Sarasota Fair Grounds on Saturday 2/10/07 with our friends, Penny and Tony.  This event has been going on in Sarasota for 28 years.  I used to go every year when I was a teenager in the 1980's.  However, it's been a few years since we've been to one.  The weather was beautiful, and the event was as entertaining as it always was.  There were plenty of volunteers in character that were wandering around and interacting with the audience (or attendees) like us.  As always, a lot of the audience also dressed up in costume.  It was basically like going to a "Star Trek" convention as far as the level of audience participation was concerned.

We took some pictures of the event, and the photos are below.  However, I wasn't playing my "A Game" that day, and I really missed a lot of good shots.  I got a few shots of Van Allen, but I forgot that I even had my camera most of the time.  I got very few shots of Jody and our friends.  I also didn't get any shots of the jousting, the Human chess match, nor a score of other performances.  We all enjoyed ourselves, though.
