Oscar Scherer State Park is located in Osprey, Florida. This is one of my favorite parks in the Sarasota County area. It's just a short drive away, it has about 12 miles worth of hiking trails, and it has a lot of wildife. I've seen the following wildlife there at various times:
- hawks
- eagles
- assorted wading birds
- gopher tortoises
- scrub jays
- snakes
- armadillos
- hog
- rabbits
- squirrels
- racoons
- alligators
I've put some pictures from our various hiking trips below. You can view a slideshow of the photos instead of clicking on each one individually. To use the slideshow feature, place your mouse pointer over one of the photos, and a menu should automatically appear. Then click on the "slideshow" menu option. The slideshow will display each photo for approximately 3 seconds before loading the next photo.
